Things I bought that were useful to my babyThings I bought that were useful to my baby

Many pregnant women buy things that are not useful and it really all leads to waste. With the rise in cost of living, whether you are a first time mum or you have more kids. You can’t afford to waste any money on taking chances. In this post, I will write a list of items my baby definitely used as a mom of 4 boys.

List of items my baby used for the first 6 months;

Soft Touch Bath Support

I found this really easy to use, no need to change bath water or move things around. What I do is, make my baby bath water in a clean size 5 litre bowl and set it aside in the big bath. Place the Soft Touch Bath SupportĀ inside the bath and put the baby on it. I Knee towards the bath and wash the baby within 5-10 mins and we are done. No need to empty any bath, as everything is going down the drain. When my baby was newborn, I simply put a soft towel on the bath support for extra cushion.

Towel

I used this from day 1 and it is very handy and useful. It is available in so many brands, but because my kids suffer from eczema I only buy 100% cotton towels.

Shawl

Depending on your location worldwide, people wrap a blanket around the baby as soon as they are born and cleaned up to balance their body temperature. I literally carry mine everywhere I go, as it is necessary both at home and outdoors, depending on the temperature. I have a light one and a thick one, very handy.

Buggy/ Pram Set

I bought this exact Babiie brand set and I have used it for my 2 boys now . It is gender neutral and different from the boring black. I have used it for 2 babies now and I love it. The travel cot can be used in the house too, in the living room and bedroom during nap time if you want the baby close to you.

Comb and brush set

Used this from day 1, for both my babies. My toddler has gotten hold of them, and I wouldn’t recommend the middle one because the tiny bits come off easily . You know toddlers can stick it up their nose and everywhere possible.

Nappy and wipes

These 2 are no are a necessity, can you even do without them? Either you use a disposable nappy or a reusable nappy, these are very handy. I use the non fragrance sensitive wipes. In regards to brand, I start with pampers and later move on to Aldi and lidl when in the UK. Many people use various quality local brands all over the world.

Bibs

These come in very handy for all the throw ups, else you have to keep changing the baby’s clothes. I recommend the larger bibs, the tiny ones are cute but they outgrow them so easily.

Muslin squares

I have about 8 large and few handy tine squares. Can’t get enough of them, they come to the rescue for massive spit ups. If you don’t have a local baby shop that have them, face towels and hand towels will do just fine.
